Create your own stunning mosaic lamp!

There is nothing quite like a colourful mosaic lamp! In this workshop suitable for beginners, learn how make glass on glass mosaics while creating a beautiful home accessory with mosaic pro Margo Anton.

The weekend will start with a brief lecture on how to design and plan your mosaic lamps, including the art of chosing your colours. We will be working mainly with stained glass.Various cutting techniques will be demonstrated, and then you’ll dive right into mosaicking your mosaic lamps! While you work, you’ll be given lots of guidance, tips, and one-on-one help as needed to created your stunning glass on glass mosaic.

This workshop will not cover grouting your mosaic. If you are familiar with grouting, you may grout at home, come to open studio at Kemporium to grout, or otherwise your lamp will stay at the studio to be grouted for you. Arrangements for pick up will be made.

Students in this class will be provided with all materials and tools to create their glass on glass mosaic lamp.  However, please bring wheeled mosaic cutters if you have them, or any other glass tools you have.
